Flora – The Majella » Heath Spotted Orchid

Hairless plant of 60cm tall. Lower leaves ovel with dark spots, upper leaves smaller and narrower. 6 perianth segment pale lilac in colour, the upper 5 not forming a hood and projecting forward together. Lower lip 3-lobed.
Flowering Season: May-Aug. Habitat: Marshy meadows
Distribution: common in Majella National Park
